Astrology and Human Design: How are They Related?

Astrology vs Human Design… Let’s look at it.

I recently learned why astrology (on its own) is extremely inaccurate.

Not that astrology and what it tells you is wrong, per se.

But it’s just not as accurate and specific as it could be.

As someone who has studied and shared astrology for many years, this knowledge initially came as a shock to me.

And yet, it also made a LOT of sense and deeply intrigued me.

Have you ever had someone tell you something about your astrology that just didn't really resonate or seem to "fit"?

Or seemed kind of general?

You can see exactly why that is... in your Human Design.

Don't get it twisted, I LOVE astrology and still see it as a useful tool (WHEN used in conjunction WITH your Human Design chart).

It’s just fundamentally different, and has a different purpose.

Astrology does the timing of your life really well.

But, when I really started getting into Human Design, I realized why it was a "better" astrology.

It's more specific, it's individualistic, it's actually practical and useful.

Astrology is like your life story, or your movie.

Human Design is a way to see who you are meant to be in that movie.

It tells you, "This is how you operate, make decisions this way, this is correct for you," and "That's NOT you, that's conditioning, that's not correct for you and will create dis-ease."

It gives you tangible specifics about who you are and how you can align with your purpose.

Whereas astrology can only give you that in a very general, non-specific way.

It's like having a map of your life, with vague directions in handwriting you can barely read: "Your sun is in Taurus in this house, etc., etc."

But it doesn't give you a way to ACT on that knowledge.

And if that person's sun in Taurus is not activated in their Human Design chart, the energy/expression of that placement is going to be extremely inconsistent.

We call these placements in Human Design "dormant gates."

They require activation through transits or other people, which create definition in the center that gate is in.

This is why Human Design transits are extremely accurate, because they take into account how that specific energy affects you as an individual.

And, using them in combination with your astrology, gives you a well-rounded and specific picture into your life story and how you can move through it with ease and alignment.
